Then you'll be able to top it all off with our special green Charm if you wish to. Join us for a cozy, hands-on junk journaling workshop designed for all levels, whether you’re brand new or already deep into saving scraps. (Optional Beginner Supplies Kit available) Come create with Janice, owner of the Nashville Junk Journal Club (@nashvillejunkjournalclub on TikTok). Janice is known for hosting free, welcoming junk journaling meetups around Nashville, and for this special event she’ll be guiding you through a step-by-step workshop to help you confidently get started or refresh your approach. You don't need experience. You don't need to bring supplies (though you can). Just show up, and Janice will show you how it works.  Whether you’ve never made a junk journal page before or you’ve been collecting paper bits “for someday,” this workshop is all about learning, experimenting, and connecting with fellow paper lovers in a relaxed, supportive space. What You’ll Learn & Create We’ll cover the essentials in an easy, hands-on way: - What junk journaling is and how to discover your style- How to choose a theme and build a page layout- Techniques like layering, pockets, tags, tucks, and simple embellishments- Tips for collecting and organizing ephemera without feeling overwhelmed- How to make pages feel cohesive (even when using “random” scraps) You’ll create multiple starter pages during class and leave with ideas and techniques you can repeat at home. Who This Workshop Is For - Total beginners looking for a friendly place to start- Junk journal lovers wanting new techniques and inspiration- Anyone who collages, scrapbooks, or just really likes paper. No experience required Ticket Options 1) Regular EntryIncludes workshop instruction, guided demos, and access to shared tools and materials during class. 2) Regular Entry + Beginner Supplies KitIncludes everything above plus a curated starter kit to use during class and take home, which may include:- A beautiful beginner-friendly journal- Ephemera pack from Janice (papers, tags, cards, and small treasured pieces)- Starter pack from CoraCreaCrafts (papers, stickers, tapes)- Basic adhesives and tools (such as glue tape or glue stick, scissors, etc.) Exact contents may vary slightly based on availability, but each kit is thoughtfully curated and beginner-ready. In this hands-on paper crafting workshop, you’ll bring any old box with a lid and transform it into a stylish, functional organization box using decorative papers, rice papers, pastes and other techniques. Perfect for storing:- Craft supplies & scraps- Stationery items (scissors, pens, rulers, clips)- Photos & keepsakes- Mail & receipts- Kids’ artwork- Self-care items or seasonal décor We’ll guide you step-by-step through:- Covering the outside with decorative paper for a polished look- Adding details like trim, embellishments, and coordinated accents- Creating simple dividers/sections (optional)- Finishing with labels so your box is easy to use and easy to keep up withNo experience needed, this is beginner-friendly and designed to be fun, cozy, and satisfying.
