Q: What is a junk journal?

A junk journal is a handmade book assembled from vintage paper ephemera, fabric scraps, envelopes, book pages, and collage materials — bound into a journal for memory keeping, daily writing, or art journaling. CoraCreaCrafts supplies the washi tape, ephemera, and refills junk journalers use.

Q: What is the difference between a junk journal and a bullet journal?

Junk journals are visual, collaged, and unstructured — built around decoration and memory keeping. Bullet journals are structured productivity systems using dotted-grid pages for tasks, calendars, and habit tracking. Many users keep both.

Q: How do I start a traveler's notebook?

Start with a leather or fabric cover sized to standard, passport, or A6. Choose 1-3 paper inserts (lined, dotted, or blank) secured with an elastic. Decorate with washi tape, stickers, and pressed-flower accents. See the Traveler's Notebook for Beginners guide on the CoraCreaCrafts blog.
