Q: What is washi tape used for?

Washi tape is decorative Japanese paper tape used for journaling, scrapbooking, planner decoration, gift wrapping, and craft projects. It tears by hand, removes cleanly from most surfaces, and layers well for collage. CoraCreaCrafts washi tape is selected for junk journals and cottagecore spreads.

Q: What is the difference between washi tape and PET tape?

Washi tape is paper-based, matte, and writable with pen. PET tape is polyester film, glossy or translucent, and waterproof. PET is best for overlay effects and layering; washi is best for journaling and quick repositioning. CoraCreaCrafts carries both.

Q: Is washi tape removable?

Yes, most washi tape peels off cleanly from paper, walls, and smooth surfaces without residue within a few weeks of application. Long-term adhesion varies by surface. For permanent scrapbook layouts, seal with matte medium.
