HOW TO… fill a mini journal page

HOW TO… fill a mini journal page

Let’s continue with our “How to” article series that will give you ideas and tips about the use of some CoraCreaCrafts products!

This time we are focusing on mini journals. You may wonder how you would be able to fill a tiny page? It can be a bigger creative challenge to make something so small, but we are here to help you out. We collected interesting works from talented creators and from our shop owner, Coralie and we hope you’ll get inspired to start using mini journals!

Susana (@suchi_journalive) takes us into a forest and shows how life is out there. She uses tiny stickers for creating the background base then some more from our Forest Sticker Tin Box. A small pop-up forest emerges in front of us with the 3D effect  applied to the trees and the fox. She used adhesive foam squares to make that happen. Make sure to bend the papers in the middle and cut the unnecessary pieces so that you can close your mini journal.

Susana used the Mini Belt Journal from our leather items collections. Click here to find them.

In a previous „How to” article we already showed how creatively Jill (@bookworm_journal_) can fill up a mini journal page. Now we would like to show two more of her works since we are focusing on tiny spaces!

We’re staying in the past with Jill‘s other spread called „Mini Medieval”. She created this page in the Red Leather Mini Journal, using more layers this time. On the left you can find a lady with a hairstyle from Middle Ages (added with our Medieval Headdress Clear Stamps) and on the other side the focus is on a medieval stamping motif (that is our Medieval Wooden Stamp Set). Once again the Renaissance Washi Tape gets its feature here as well as the Frames Notepad, Art Nouveau stickers and the Flemish Hunt Washi Tape. Different art themes come alive so beautifully under Jill‘s hands – and we also encourage you to use your imagination and mix art eras freely!

And now we are moving on to some ideas from our shop owner, Coralie. When she added the Mini Journals to her shop, she also started using them and continued sharing ideas of how to give life to tiny pages.

Here you can see a journal page with a focus on astronomical and celestial themes. Using the Vintage Astronomy Foam Stamps she cut out these stampings, added Deco Paper for the background and also parts of the Constellations Stamp Washi Tape. With only a few supplies she was able to completely fill a beautiful page.

The Mini Belt Journal in this orange color was an exclusive product for one of our past Treasure Boxes but it is now available in our new floral styles.  Starting with mini Deco Paper die cuts, Coralie filled the middle of the journal with lovely butterflies. She didn’t glue the wings so when you open this page, it will seem like they are flying. Sticker books can give you lots of options to add matching motives to your art and here Coralie went for a vintage theme with frames, a magnifying glass, tickets and writings. The result is simply elegant.
